Rubber-banding seems to be toned WAY down compared to some past titles, which is great to see.

Also, the variety of race TYPES isn't lacking in the least, which makes this issue FAR more palatable for me. I like the race variety of some of the past titles, but I don't mind the opportunity to learn each track inside and out in preparation for more difficult races either. Regardless, the more limited selection allows you to learn and master each map. Rather than expecting a new race around every corner (which is also nice, don't get me wrong), I tend to think about Unbound's track selection like maps from an online FPS: There's only a handful of them, but you grow to really like some of them and really hate some of them.

The variety of races is a bit more limited than in previous games, but that's never bothered me much.

There's more grinding involved in earning money, but I'm a Diablo fan, so the grind is part of the fun. For progression, you need cash, and cash can be scarce in the beginning. I haven't successfully escaped a Heat 5 chase yet, and they're EVERYWHERE when you're not being chased, but I've also seemed to enjoy the way I've been forced to adapt to that difference in gameplay. Police are a nightmare when compared to past titles, at least for me and where I'm at in the game. The limited restarts have forced me to pick my battles carefully. However, that didn't stop me from restarting over and over in previous games due to an obsession with getting 1st place in every single race. I'm not terrible at driving games, but I'm not the greatest either. Four restarts per day was a gut punch to discover, lol, but it did completely change how I play the game.

One of the first things I noticed about Unbound is that it does seem to be less forgiving than NFS has been in quite a few years (I'm playing on Challenging, and usually play most NFS games at the "Medium" difficulty), at least for me.

It would be difficult to pick a "least favorite," because I don't think I've ever played one that I'd be able to say I outright dislike, but I don't think Unbound would be the one I'd pick.
